Either way, 2026 should be a significantly more favorable environment for Democrats, perhaps even moreso than 2018 since there likely won't be the issue of Supreme Court votes like there was back then, only the possible preservation of the conservative majority. If Musk's behavior in response to vote for a new GOP senate majority leader is any indication tho, Trump, Musk and their allies will throw all the money and resources they can at Republicans they deem hostile and not sufficiently loyal, including Kemp.
