WAPO's and AEI editorialists Thiessen and Pletka suggest that Biden should pardon Trump, and that he should have done that as soon as soon as Trump announced he was running.
Finally stopped laughing.
My fear is we'll see AEI crazy ideas implemented for the next 2-4 years that we'll need trifecta control to reverse.
Thiessen has written exactly one good column recently, that being about concerts he's been to. ("See your music heroes before it's too late", he urged.)
I'll also give him partial credit for his annual list of the 10 best and worst things the president did. It must have strained him each year to come up with 10 good things about Biden or 10 criticisms of Trump, but he did.
I had the chance to see Iron Maiden two weeks ago. As a fan of their music from 40 years ago, sure see your heroes before they die, but also, maybe don't
A commenter to their article on WaPo (newobserver1) offered a far better proposal:
"Here is an alternative suggestion for President Biden: Trump has threatened vengeance on all those he thinks did him wrong. President Biden could compile a list of those Trump has threatened such as Jack Smith, Liz Cheney, Nancy Pelosi, Mike Pence, other political figures, former members of the military, reporters, DOJ employees, journalists etc. Then he could offer them broad pardons (much as Ford granted to Nixon who had not been charged) effectively preventing Trump from ordering "his" DOJ to go after them.
"President Biden could announce the pardons, even if turns out to be a hundred or more, on January 19, 2025 (or maybe January 20 at 11:00 a.m) making it clear that he was using his official powers to protect innocent people from potential abuse."

Why, it's not like he's ever held accountable for any of his crimes, maybe one day.

Biden should also pardon Edward Snowden. The US was able to cut a deal with Julian Assange, Snowden should be next.
Obama commuted Chelsea Manning's sentence before he left office.
Snowden is evil and a shameless Putin stooge. Give him nothing whatsoever under any circumstances.
How is he a stooge besides residing in Russia and speaking his mind?
Also, with what Assange has done with Wikileaks, it's done far more damage than Snowden ever did with his agenda.
How the hell do you know that??????????? C'mon man ..
Absolutely
Absolutely not
I don't see how that could do any good. All it would do is send the message that powerful people shouldn't be held accountable.
True. But I think the Supreme Court and Trump have already made that clear.
