IтАЩm not entirely sure whatтАЩs making you believe you canтАЩt edit posts, but I thought I should let you know that after you edit a post here, the edited post does NOT show up for you on your screen right away. You must refresh the page for the edited version to show up. I was confused at first myself thinking it was weird I couldnтАЩt edit until figuring that out.
Lmk if youтАЩre still stuck and IтАЩll try to assist.
I can't explain it, then. All I see on mobile is "Share a link to comment/Hide comment/Delete comment". Only on my computer is there an "Edit comment" choice. Clicking on "Share" does not produce an edit option on another screen. It's a workable situation, though.
I just checked from my iPhone and it looks just like my Mac and just as dragonfire5004 describes just above your reply. Clicking on the ellipsis offers "edit" and "delete." Perhaps the generation of Iphone matters or other settings?
I have an iPhone 11, if that makes a difference. I will try looking more closely at my settings on the Substack app the next time I'm using my phone. There's another annoying thing that happens, which is that I like to view in order of newest post (really, thread-starting post, actually), but when I have to click to see more of a subthread ("Continue Thread"), it often reverts to showing the oldest post first. That's not a problem restricted to the mobile version.
At least on Firefox on my computer, I see absolutely no way to make order of newest post a default setting, so it looks like I have to keep using unnecessary keystrokes to shift from the default of oldest post.
I have a 13 so perhaps it is because of the 11. I have same issue with threads. Follow a thread and when you go back, you go back to the beginning and lose where you were.
ItтАЩs definitely not to do with the iphone you use, whatever the issue is, because IтАЩm using the XR and IтАЩm pretty sure it came out before the 11.
I havenтАЩt touched any settings, just signed up once and itтАЩs been untouched since, so IтАЩm not sure if itтАЩs that either. ThatтАЩs really quite bizarre how you are the only one having this problem.
Maybe message the mods and see if thereтАЩs a potential fix or something?
I edit my posts on my phone all the time on my Samsung phone. Maybe iPhone has an issue?
You mean maybe Substack doesn't enable editing for iPhones.
I can edit fine on my iPhone and itтАЩs the only way I view here.
EDIT: Just edited ЁЯШЙ
Is that something paid subscribers get?
IтАЩm not a paid subscriber.

Does the 3 dots or тАЬтАжтАЭ show up on the far right of your posts at the bottom on the right side of the тАЬSHAREтАЭ option? Like this:
