Khanna is a team player and doesn't do anything to irritate or piss off the Democratic Party. From what I have read about him and have learned in discussion here, I am more convinced he has firmly held convictions than Shri Thanedar. Khanna represents a considerable portion of Silicon Valley but still upholds liberal views and a voting record.
Shri Thanedar though has a business background but seems to have no way of being relevant besides triangulating a lot. That's my issue with him.
Yes. He got dark money donors (including Tea Party influencer money) and support from Silicon Valley big pockets: Former Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer being one of them. He was exposed by Glen the Plumber on Daily Kos for having too much association with libertarian and right wing groups and people.
FYI, I do not like Ro Khanna and would be happy if a real liberal Democrat would primary him out of office (particularly one who wants to go after Silicon Valley, which Khanna wonтАЩt do). Mike Honda was excellent in the House and didnтАЩt need to be challenged the way he was. Ro Khanna said to Glen the Plumber that he supported Howard Dean in the 2003 Democratic Presidential Primaries but that means nothing to me.
That said, since he has been in the House, heтАЩs had a better record than Shri Thanedar. He also hasnтАЩt done things like Thanedar has to piss off House Democrats. By comparison the two are different but that does not mean I support Khanna.
We're seeing eye to eye. But my point is, I don't think we know Kianna's progressivism is a firmly held belief. It's a firmly held behavior at this point, though.
Point being, Khanna has more firmly held convictions than Thanedar. That is not saying a lot considering I am not a fan of Khanna.
EDIT made to add clarity.
How do you know that? He started out in a primary from the right, then changed his spots right away.
Khanna or Thanedar?

Khanna. Do you remember how he was before he got into the House?

Ahhh ok, I get your argument.
I also donтАЩt believe Khanna is genuinely liberal or progressive. However, Elon Musk has been fighting him on X as of recently so thereтАЩs that.
