I thought Lamb used to be somewhat to the right of the Democratic mainstream when he was representing a more right-wing district.

He was voting the way he was for the same reason Kirsten Gillibrand was voting the way she was. Both representing district to the right of their state.

And PA is quite substantially to the right of New York, so I would not assume he will be that liberal as a U.S. senator if he runs and wins.

I never said he would be. Especially since he comes from Western PA. Outside Pittsburgh, there are very few deep blue parts there. Ironically Fetterman's hometown of Braddock is one of them. Orange Slob failed to obtain double digits there.
