I hear you on the sexism part.

However, being that 2024 was eight years after 2016, I don't see that sexism really played a huge role in deciding the election for Trump. It may have been a bigger factor for Clinton although the one campaign ad the Harris Camp released about women voting against their own husband's interests really pissed off the conservative base and Trump supporters. It may have contributed to Trump winning.

Whitmer though has less of an ego than Clinton or Harris so she may weather the storm of attacks. Of course, it ultimately depends on her decision.
