Long way until 2030 to make China/Connecticut Dave a 1 term mistake (same as Gardner in Colorado & Perdue in Georgia). So ashamed of Pennsylvania for allowing it's Alabama in the middle to decide all these races in Republicans favor. Democrats lost ALL statewide races for the first time in how long?! 😒

Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) is the only obvious 1 to do it, as he'll be term-limited in the 2030 midterms!! πŸ’™πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²

This may not be a popular opinion, but I think Josh Shapiro perhaps should have been able to do more to help both Casey and Harris win in Pennsylvania.

Probably Casey but I'm skeptical Shapiro would have been enough to keep Pennsylvania in the Harris column.

Yeah the fact Harris lost all the blue wall states that have popular Dem governors seems to disprove the idea that Shapiro could've done much more. He was out there campaigning, as were Fetterman, Whitmer and Evers.

You’re right, good point.

If 2030 is a Democratic midterm then we may need him to run (assuming he's still decently popular and hasn't moved on to something bigger, which you can guess), though McCormick's record will provide a fair amount of ammunition for any Dem even if he proves to be one of the GOP's relatively milquetoast moderates.

If it's a GOP midterm then possibly any credible Dem will be an even or better bet to win.

Gov. Shapiro will likely have first refusal to take down Connecticut Dave, taking the seat back should be the #1 priority for Democrats the entire 2030 cycle!! πŸ’™πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²
