I think so! Daily Kos (pre-DKE) did a contest in 2008 that took five-ever to resolve because of the Franken race. And the prize in that one was something really big, like a laptop, I think!
Also middle of the pack. Generally too optimistic (as usual in every year that isn't 2022), saved from being further down the list by the heroic performances a number of House Dems put up in a very difficult year.
Got 13th place overall. Would have gotten 5th place overall if Republicans had successfully stolen the SCONC race, though trading away the health of democratic institutions and a SCONC seat for more bragging rights for myself is a trade I would have rejected in a heartbeat.
I am sure you could say this about just about any cycle, except if Dems outran expectations so much, that the closest races were ones where Republicans were believed to be positioned to win easily, and accordingly were not in the contest.
True, though it could be mentioned that had Dems done significantly better in any of the preceding 5 cycles, there is a good chance that Trump winning in 2024 is butterflied away in some way.
Awesome! Congrats.
Longest time between election and contest winner announcement in TDB–DKE–SSP history?

How did everyone do? I'm in the middle of the pack. My congressional misses:
Senate:
Ohio- Brown (D) (went with my heart over my head on this one)
Pennsylvania - Casey (D) (still surprised he managed to fumble this one)
House:
Alaska- Peltola (D)
AZ-01 Shah (D)
CA-22 Salas (D)
CA-41 Rollins (D)
CA-47 Baugh (R)
CO-08 Caraveo (D)
IA-01 Bohannan (D)
MI-07 Hertel (D)
MI-10 Marlinga (D)
NE-02 Vargas (D)
PA-07 Wild (D)
PA-08 Cartwright (D)
PA-10 Stelson (D)
WI-03 Cooke (D)
Governor:
NH Craig (D)
Mostly guesses on everything below the house level.
Tossups in Michigan and Pennsylvania really got me.
Pennsylvania hurt, Casey, Wild, and Cartwright I all had winning

9th place ain't bad! Congrats to the winners!
Not bad at all! Lotta smart nerds in this contest!

Congrats.
I'm sure the winners wish they had been wrong and more Democrats had won. Funny how I'm the first to say that in this thread.

I'm saying it about this past cycle, which has caused a type of damage the country hasn't seen in generations, and which it may never recover from.
